Respite Care provides short term breaks for the caregiver that relieve stress, restore energy and promote balance in your life.  While you are away, the Respite Care attendant may provide a variety of non-medical activities including: preparing light meals companionship supervision assistance with other tasks of daily living As much as possible, the attendant along with the program coordinator will honor your individual needs and requests within the guidelines of the program. Trying to balance your caregiving duties with family, work and community responsibilities can leave you feeling overwhelmed. The anxiety and frustration you experience trying to juggle everyone's needs including your own can create high levels of stress. Through our Respite Care Program BCSSI provides non-medical assistance to those with moderate disabilities and temporary in-home relief to those who care full-time for an elderly individual.
